The camera frame enters the transmitter as raw pixels, crosses the RF link as 802.11 frames (DAC → SMA cable → ADC), and the receiver's reassembled bytes are compared against the sent frame. The large image on the left is what came back over the air.

Real data captured while the link ran: an off-the-shelf webcam streamed uncompressed video across a Wi-Fi physical layer implemented on a Zynq UltraScale+ RFSoC, transmit output looped into the receive input through an SMA cable. One bitstream decodes all three generations, 802.11a/g, 802.11n and 802.11ac, selecting per packet at runtime; the sweep walks 27 format / data-rate / resolution combinations, each held for at least 20 seconds, including uncompressed 1280×720. Across the whole capture the receiver delivered 1,524,695 fragments (100.0%) with 0 payload byte errors; peak byte-verified goodput 36 Mb/s. Recording of each configuration starts only after the previous configuration's queued frames have drained, and the configuration is then held until its latency reading stays flat for several seconds; the latency shown is the median of that flat tail - the configuration's steady-state end-to-end value, with switch transients excluded.
